Rysannox turned towards Xefr and shrugged.. "Not really, however I found a few tiny stars that are red in contrast to all other stars that are depicted as white."
The Empress seemed anxious to make her question and crossed her fingers "Lord Xefr, is it true what Lord Rysannox told me that dragons live and prosper in another planet?  ..free from danger? I'd like to hear more about them  ..and you."

-

"Just avoid any bad dreams ...and neither do that creepy floor-clawing again!" Erixen smiles at him and makes up a small campfire with a few branches that he had gathered from earlier.

Xefr sighed, "Well, I suppose I'll take a look at that in a bit. But first..." The yellow eyes returned to Mrysa, "I'll answer your question. Yes, it is true. My home-world of Heord has a prospering Dragon population, and it is most certainly safe, as it fiercely protected by one of the greatest armies in the nation in which it lies. Heord is a wonderful planet, filled with lush planet life and incredibly diverse animal life living in its many jungles, grasslands, and savannas. It is of course the home of my kind, the Golden Dragon, and the seat of their power. It's a lovely place, and I do hope you get to see it in your lifetime. The Golden Dragon, as a species, holds a position of high respect in the nation of Iammelon, though rather as leaders or warriors rather than religious icons. As for myself... Well, I'm not sure if there is much to tell. I've had a long life to be sure... But what you see in front of you is the result of a long life, filled with exploration, strife, and lost time." The Black Dragon then sighed, absentmindedly tapping the ground with a singular claw.

-

The Shard grins, "Trust me, if I can avoid it, I will." Then, he noticed the campfire, and the grin intensified, "Here, let me help you with that." With these words, his mouth materialized and from it a small stream of fire emerged, lighting the branches aflame.

"This is wonderful, even though the past cannot be erased and our treason not be forgiven  ..the fact that your kind lives happily and in safety eases the guilt and pain. Thank you for that Dragon from the stars! But.." while initially she was excited to hear that dragons prosper and are safe in another planet, Myrsa seemed slightly saddened by the black drake's self-loathing and closed up to him, her red and ill reptilian eyes fixed on his yellow.. "...I do not understand your tone. What I see before me is a majestic and kind dragon, bearing the black scales of wisdom and abilities Ghashyr couldn't even dream of having.. ...we Ghashyr live a small life, and during that life we manage to do so little yet we look up to the stars each night, cherishing it as if it is the last of our lives. I do not understand the sadness in your voice.."

-

Erixen claps his claw-hands in amusement "And I was about to start believing you new dragons couldn't breathe fire! Sleep well Shard!"

-

As the night gets darker, Re'Ni lands in Shyr hoping that she could fullfill her life's greatest wish and dream, for no dragon should live alone in the world. Unsure of the vision she had in her dream and having second thoughts that she perhaps is becoming mad again, she nevertheless flew in the starry sky and above the desert trying to reach the accursed place that damned her with darkness during most of her life. To discover once and for all the truth about herself and her species.
Once she sighted the old building from her memories she hesitated to approach out of fear, instead she just remained flying infront of the entrance and roared as loudly as she could, then gave out a tremendous psionic shout that could be heard all over the Red mountains by any and all psionic beings {"RE'NI STANDS OUTSIDE! OTHER VALXES EXIST, OR RE'NI IS MAD? ANSWER!"}

Xefr's smile fades, but returned quickly, though sadder than before. "Myrsa, it is good you cherish those moments. Life is beautiful, yet fragile. And your small life, as you put it, allows you to properly appreciate that. Perhaps I am a dragon, and I may have done and seen more than most can claim, but I have also made many mistakes. And because I am unburdened by time, I have a duty to amend every sin and repay every debt. I have many regrets, and until I atone I will forever feel guilt. That is why I wish to help your kind as best I can, as I could never forgive myself if I didn't put my full effort into that. It's a stressful life, but it is the one I have chosen..."
The Drake then suddenly paused as the shout reached his mind, and he made a quick look around the room. In the corner of his eye, he checked to see if any of the ghashyr had reacted, and if any of the psionic spirits had made themselves known again.

-

The Shard made a smug grin, and was quite proud of himself. This didn't last long however, for soon after he heard Re'Ni's shout. At first, he was both surprised and afraid. But then, something clicked in his head, and the Shard fully materialized his body. With grim determination in his eyes, he quickly turned to Erixen and spoke in a clear, strict voice, "I'm going outside, Shard Business. Stay here, tell Essentials if he comes looking for me. And don't worry about my safety, I got friends in high places, if you catch my drift." With that, he marched towards the door. He had enough fear for one day.

-

Stomping outside, The Shard quickly looked around. He saw Re'Ni in the sky, and snorted. He began to yell at her, "You wanted me, phantom? Here I am! Now what do you wan..." Just as easily as he had started, the Shard awkwardly paused. The original look of confidence has been replaced by simple confusion. He spoke again, yet now uncertain and perplexed, "Um... Not trying to sound rude or anything... But aren't ghosts supposed to be blue or at least kinda transparent...? I didn't expect you to look so real and kinda h... I mean... You got the scary part but..." The Shard began stumbling on his words, and stopped flat, entirely taken off guard.

Myrsa and Rysannox both notice the roar from outside, but they don't really seem to understand what was it and continue without thinking much about it. No Psionic energy seems to have returned to the room, or helmet either, as it has concentrated on Xefr himself  ..bearing both Cui and the Orb psionically within him.
The Empress after turning upon hearing the roar, continues talking to Xefr.. "Heh, the Great Golden Sea makes her noises again; Some say it is the spirits of the ancient desert folk!  ..Anyway, I respect your choice, in fact I'm glad you came to Shyr to ammend yourself drake, as you will be helping us ammend our own sins as well. You have the mentality of a Saint - accepting your own mistakes and ammending them is the first step of Sainthood."
Rysannox adds quite happily.. "Like Saint Mo'Tze'Khan!"

 -

Re'ni was thinking that perhaps she is mad, but as soon as the materialised shard got out of the sanctuary and Re'Ni's eyes sighted him ..she lost her balance and flopped her wings and nearly fell off the sky, managing to regain some of her balance she landed as badly as possible only a few meters from the shard, ready to cry and overhelmed by powerful feelings she didn't even notice what the shard said. Joy and confusion, fear and hope revolved inside her mind.. {"Haha Whaa? When? Y-You?...YOU ARE VALX LIKE SELF! HAHAhaha And you are real!"} She jumps at the shard and hugs him with her wings and paws and all of her might, resulting in both falling flat on the ground.

Xefr remains unsure, and sends out a small psionic ping to The Shard, hoping he had noticed the shout as well.
The Drake then looked back to the Empress, "Thank you for understanding. And while I have a very long way to go in order to atone, your words do help. I dearly hope that I can live up to your Saints, like Mo'Tze'Khan, and help you however I can. Few things would make me happier." The Dragon then smiled, "Of course, I cannot do these things alone, so I will be relying on both of you to teach me the ways of your kind, so that my help is actually helping, rather than another hurdle. Espically considering that I am clueless in how to begin."

-

"Ack!" exclaimed the Shard as he fell. And on the ground, he felt very strange, both the feeling of hitting the floor and the proximity of the female. He didn't struggle very much, and calmly began to pat Re'Ni on the back, sensing her fear and confusion. After all, he was in just same condition earlier. He stammered out some words as well, "Um... Yes, I'm real. I take pride in that really. Calm down, please...? You're kinda crushing me... And... Wait, what's your name?" The Shard had also received Xefr's ping, and in response sent back another, signaling that he was fine and that there was no danger. He didn't mention the other dragon however, he wanted to learn more first.

Myrsa makes a small clap and nods happily "Oh, this is a great day! The reunion of the kin of Shyr and Paer. Rest assured that you will have my full support and protection Lord Xefr!  ..we failed dragons once, we will not fail you again."
Rysannox stands skeptical, though his smile doesn't leave his face "Hmmm, it will be hard at first ...but for our good luck, House Valxaryen is ruling and Dragons are entangled within our common Urvan culture, despite of religion; there are songs about dragons, stories of dragons, dragon-plushies for children  ..even our Empire's symbol is two dragons, ehm, bonding - I'd feel weird if I was a Dragon myself about that  ..but I guess it's better than two dragons fighting, no? - Anyway, my point is that dragons represent for many Ghashyr a nostalgia for the good old times  ...but there are those who still would feel threatened by your existence, that is why we must talk to them first." The middle-aged steward strokes his beard, trying to find a solution.
Suddenly, Myrsa's eyes seem to have a sinister glimpse, yet not necessarily evil "We will talk to the Church of Light first, yes  ..we will go not however to the politics-dominated Great Mother and her Holy Council, but to the monasteries!  ..they would understand." Both Ghashyr seem to agree with that idea and then turn at Xefr..

-

Although fearing of hurting him in any way, Re'Ni is unsure if she even wants to let the shard from her tight hug; For thousand years she was alone, and told that she was the last of her species..  ..she manages to utter a few words amidst sobbing and laughing, while rolling to the side and releasing the shard. {"Name is Re'Ni. Thought last Valx - too lonely  ...but  HAHAHA wrong!"}
Re'Ni boops the shard's snoot {"Name? Come from stars? Shyr? ...Matter not much. But Nice to know"}

Xefr saw the sinister look, but didn't understand it. He simply smiled and nodded. "Very well then. We go to a Light Monastery first, starting small is generally a good idea when pursuing ambitious goals. I guess I shall try and channel this nostalgia as best I can, if it will help. But I must say that does sound like a strange choice for a symbol. Though I suppose that once you show the members of my kind back home that you are a great empire, they will most likely appreciate it. Speaking of which... There is still the matter of Heord. How and when do you propose to tell my kind of all this? It may be best to get them involved before too much goes forward."

-

The Shard stumbled to his feet. Looking back to Re'Ni, he responded in an awkward tone, "Well, you certainly make memorable greetings, Re'Ni. My name? I guess you can call me Tec, most of my friends do... And I guess I did come from the Stars, from the planet of Heord." His tone then picked up, and continued with a little more confidence. "And you can rest assured, you are not alone! There are lots of my kind out there! Yet..."
The Shard's tone changed once more as the words registered more properly in his head, becoming more somber and sympathetic. "I really can't imagine how you felt... Totally alone... Never been like that myself really... Any way I can help you?"

Myrsa seems rather awkward as Rysannox and Xefr discuss her House's Arms, yet she doesn't seem to be insulted... "Heh, yes, I guess the Seal of House Valxaryen might seem peculiar to a dragon, but it symbolises the 'Bonding of the Fireborn'  ..the union of Dragon-souled Ghashyr and Dragons." She then changes her tone, and adopts a smile full of glee "Anyway. I bestow upon Lord Rysannox the duty to help you re-attach the broken link between our two species  ..there is no better Ghashyr for this in the Empire, as my good friend and steward Rysannox is a lover of the realm of history and culture  ..and knows better than most Lords the politics and current machinations of the Empire."
Rysannox bows as he bumps his fist on his chest.. "Thank you for your kind words Unburnt One, Talmyr. I shall do my best and I believe Lord Xefr will do the same." He turns to Xefr "Lupa is not far from Shyr, and judging from your character I'm certain you will like the Monasteries of Light there and the people residing in them. We will leave whenever you wish."

-

As the shard explains his whereabouts, Re'Ni's expression is one of awe; she never expected Dragons to exist anywhere other than her homeplanet of Shyr. However once the shard finishes the second part of his sentence, Re'Ni's eyes seem dark and rather sad... "Tec cannot imagine feel. Even Re'Ni still cannot describe feel..  ..countless days. overwhelming darkness and fear. Fear is the mind-killer; No soul  ..and idea of self being last of Valx. Never see other Valx. Never have eggs. Never see sky." a subtle smile appears on her face "..but Tec appeared from stars in dream! Hope rejuvenated..  ...Re'Ni ask no help of Tec. Just not leave Re'Ni." she hesitantly places her paw over the shard's paw..

Xefr beamed, "Thank you, Myrsa. From what I have seen thus far, he is very capable. I have no doubt his assistance will be invaluable." He then turned to Rysannox, "Lupa sounds good. I suppose that unless there is anything else either one of you wish to ask of me, we could leave right now. If you'd like, Rysannox, you can ride in my ship. It's right outside, and there is plenty of space aboard, as well as documents detailing my home nation and its inhabitants, including my kind. But either way, I still need to grab the Shard, he's likely quite annoyed at how long I've probably spent down here."

-

If Tec's draconic body could have blushed, he would have. He didn't stop Re'Ni's paw, and turned over his own to have the palm facing upwards. He responded, still somewhat awkwardly, "Well, you're right. I can't imagine how that felt... Yet I have felt my own fair share of fear. I know what it can do the mind if it has control. I don't know how you showed up in my dreams... It kinda freaked me out really. But... I suppose I really don't know what to say. The important thing is Re'Ni, that I want to help you. What you've experienced... Well, that's something I wouldn't wish upon anybody, and I don't wish to let it continue..."
The Shard's own eyes then darkened, and with a gulp he continued, "Yet I can't stay here, on Shyr I mean. I have duties elsewhere, and I can't leave my family in the dark. But maybe... there is another way... Re'Ni, if what you say is true... then you haven't had a real home for quite some time. But what would you say... if I could give one to you? And at the same time prove that you are not alone in the galaxy... Could you come with me?" Tec was quite nervous now, and the fragile hope taking hold of his eyes was reflected across his entire being.

As the two Ghashyr and Xefr discuss, one can see for a split of a second one of the dragons in the painting smiling and winking at him.
Rysannox, evidently willing to start the journey, smiles at the black drake "I will come along in your spaceship  ..I always wondered how dragons would have their spaceships. ..We will also have to discuss how we shall approach the monks once we get to the ship. To Lupa!"
The Ghashyr empress, satisfied with the outcome of this 'reunion' pats the dragon's right wing.. "Good luck Xefr! For all that is good I hope you'll succeed."

-

Being completely asocial and emotionally overhelmed realising she had a dragon next to her, she hesitated and nearly froze the moment the shard turned his paw facing hers and made his proposal - though she was more happy than she could ever be that he did both.   ..she smiled and turned her head downwards, she looked at her and Tec's paw and exhaled a little bit of hot air from her nostrils on them..  ..her brown eyes then turned facing the shard's yellow {"This more than Re'Ni would ever ask. Tec is right, like Ant; Shyr truly not home anymore, Ant-planet only replacement too - Home is where mind, heart and wing be; About time true home appeared for Re'Ni! ...Re'Ni will come with Tec"} She then crawls closer to the shard and places her head over his shoulder.

Xefr looks to the Empress, "Thank you, Myrsa. Though I do hope you won't remain here alone too long. This place could still contain dangers. Regardless, I wish you a good day, Talmyr." The Drake then walks into the elevator, and looks to Rysannox, "Glad to hear it. Now let's get going, time waits for nobody." He then prepared to return to the main room, and grab the Shard. Their next destination was Lupa, and he had to have a little talk with the rest of the Shards, though perhaps he could let Cui do it. They all needed to be introduced after all.

-

Tec practically froze as Re'Ni moved, though he was ecstatic that she accepted his offer. He had no idea what he was doing, and was completely unsure on how to continue, but frankly he didn't care about that right now. Using his free hand, he pulled Re'Ni into a hug. He remained silent for a moment, but then finally got a few words out, "Re'Ni... I promise to give you that true home. I will not fail you in that. Though you'll have to tell me about these Ants sometime, they seem like interesting folks. But... not right now..." The Shard then went silent, as he took in everything that had happened today. The main worry on his mind however, was not the ghosts or phantoms he had feared earlier, but it was how he was going to tell Essentials about the new passenger.

Myrsa laughs a bit and nods "Don't worry Lord Xefr, I don't intent on staying in this place long ...in fact there are urgent matters demanding my attention back in Datha."
All find themselves upstairs and can notice Erixen sleeping by a small campfire, while right outside of the sanctuary two large dragon-figures can be seen hugging.
As they come near the two dragons Myrsa gasps and stands in shock, but before saying anything she remembers other Ghashyr are present and she must protect her House's ancient secret whatever the cost...

-

A little before the group got outside..
Re'Ni remains silent for a few seconds, for the first time feeling the embrace and company of another dragon after thousand years that she was taken from her parents. She just relaxes and nuzzles her head tenderly against Tec {"This means much to Re'Ni. Wish means as much to Tec."} She then bites Tec's neck softly, both as a sign of affection, as well as a small warning.
She felt a tad bit bad about mistrusting the drake's good intentions, but she could not help it; thousand of years she was lied upon and mistreated to be able to trust even one of her kind.

Once Xefr got close enough to get a good look at what was going on outside, he stopped and did the draconic equivalent of raising an eyebrow. He looked to Tec, and spoke in a manner to gain attention, "Tech... Care to tell me who is this? I don't recognize them, and why you two are hugging for that matter?"
The Shard jumped back in surprise once the other dragon spoke. Quickly turning back, he regained his composure, and hastily put out an explanation, "Erhm, hey Ess! This is Re'Ni... She happens to be the last Valx, and... Um... The hugging was because she is simply very happy to know she isn't the only dragon around these days, and I wanted to help comfort her. Isn't that what we do...?"
The nervous explanation didn't seem to satisfy Xefr, and his yellow eyes instead turned to Re'Ni. He simply looked her over, and then settled staring into her eyes, seeming to want her to clarify the situation instead.
