By his point, the Formic and the Chrymerion scientists and engineers have finished constructing ground based shield generators as well as orbital shield generators. The shields are regenerating and can withstand any energy attack including several direct hits from planet killer super cannons. Buffers are put in place so if any feedback is thrown at the generators or shield that it will be diverted harmlessly.

The Gateway Rift Generator engine is nearing completion and is a culmination of Chrymerion, Borg and Formic technologies. By opening a door in space, the ship can move through it without having to cross vast amounts of space and taking time. It does however take time to charge and is usable every 45 minutes.

Planetary Gateway Generators are also nearing completion. When activated, the Gateway will move an entire planet to another part of the galaxy. This is dangerous in that unless exact computations are done, the planet could be seriously damaged or worse. It is not suggested that a Gateway move a planet more than once. Also if needed, the Gateway can be set to remove all organic or all mechanical creatures/items from a world and deposit them elsewhere. This is much easier and does not risk destroying the world. The world mover setting is usable once a year and the specific removal setting is usable once a week due to the need to recharge.
