The Red Returns
It happened suddenly, one moment the ecumenopolis planet of Cheunope was busy as usual, gargantuan buildings stretched into the sky, lights shone it's brilliance across the planetscape and Enyodeans raced in voidcraft from place to place. There is a saying that goes that ecumenopoli never sleep, one had to stay one night there to know that was true.

But tonight, something different happened, in one of the main avenues of Cheunope, a market district of course, traffic stopped, a procession of Imperial star fighters moved slowly through the avenue towards the Governor's palace, accompanying the starfighters were a multitude of voidcraft, from public transport craft to small personal craft, some of them had retrofit weapons on them. But what they all had the same was that they were painted red, with an increasingly well known symbol of gold scrawled on them. The symbols of the Republic that the Sophicrats strive for.

Far down at the ground levels of the planet, ballista tanks, landships and Enyodeans were the same, some soldiers in armor, other Vigiles and everyday armed Enyodeans, they too bore Red and the yellow symbol. And little know to the people on the surface, up in orbit a battle had just begun as commandeering of warships protecting the planet commenced.

No one had expected this, that the Republicans could become this organized and powerful so quickly as demonstrations and actions like this occurred across the Empire. The Imperial Military organization was in shambles as loyalists panicked to find some response to the situation. In Cheunope and many other planets, loyalist soldiers raced to intercept the marching Republicans.

Tonight will be Republican Red, Planets will fall, and for many more nights to come blood will be spilled as Republicans clash with Loyalists for the future of their Empire.

The Eternal Empire is on fire.

Day of Ashes
The Eternal Revolution Chapter 1

The first day after the Republican Uprising was eerily quiet. Even in the great city-planets, few voidcraft traveled through any sky-lanes. Across the Empire, numerous buildings were on fire, damaged, or collapsed, and from the sky fell ashes. Slowly, like snow, and covered the ground alongside the dust and rubble. Scattered among the rubble where bodies and debris of vehicles, providing further proof of the bloody day before.

Where the Day of the Reds was packed with action, danger, and drama, today was quiet and solemn as both Loyalists and Republicans planned their next moves after the shocking simultaneous mass assault of the day before. Many worlds fell into Republican hands, essentially dividing the Empire, but still many maintained Imperial Rule, now both were quiet, consolidating their forces and control after the attacks. Media services were the only source of noise and seemed to be connected to every home and major public centers, playing out news from the night before, along with propaganda of certain factions.

On Republican and Imperial Worlds alike, agents and special forces hunted down remnant forces of the enemy to ensure no retaliation. However, things were different on planet-spanning cities. Instead, Republican and Imperial control were divided by districts. Districts were controlled by either faction and were being consolidated before any new offensives or counter-offensives would begin.

It had become clear to the Imperial High Council that the Sophicrats had not only become popular among the garrisons and the general population of the Empire, they found numerous military bases, armies, and naval groups suddenly out of contact with the High Command, and the symbol of the Republicans scrawled on any supporter. If the Sophicrats could have penetrated the Praefecti stationed throughout the Empire, who was to say they weren't already among the ranks of the High Council or Imperial Bureaucracy. Already by the Imperial Regent, the Emperor's Heir, Prince Tyrahius Jupitem Sorex, has disbanded the Imperial Senate and announced that all Senators would be placed under investigation for espionage and treason.

Meanwhile, far out of the reach of the Emperor, Consuls Benortius Aretullus and Lallona Macrance sat together in front of a media capture device speaking live to the Enyodean people. They spoke alternating by paragraph of the great vision, the cause of this bloodshed, and the solution.
"Siblings of Enyode, these dark days are to make for a brighter future. The end of the Empire and the birth of something greater, no longer will you have to toil for the profits of your corporate or feudal masters. But live in prosperity and grant a better future for our offspring and our great nation.

This Empire is not Eternal, these are among the many lies they have told you to keep you suppressed, to keep you content as the oppressed majority. Once we lived by a codex of laws and the Senate freely represented our people of all backgrounds. However, greed for wealth brought about change and our Republic failed, and fell into the despotism of today, but that too has fallen corrupt and inept that they could not even silence us, we who will bring about the greatest of change, the revolution of the Empire. We know how to eradicate the greed that has destroyed us by the source.

Those Duxes, Corporate leaders, and the Emperor himself all wish to prevent this, to allow the people to self-determine their power and liberate the wealth and material goods they have hoarded to make themselves superior to the rest. But they can hold us down no longer, the sparks have been ignited and our torch of liberty has been raised, and we will follow it to the Capital, to the Emperor, and free Enyode from Imperial chains for Enyode's sake!

Brothers and Sisters of Enyode, join our cause and fight for justice and liberty, you will find that those who support the cause are supported by us, together as one nation. You supporters of equality, justice, and liberty will be provided with all you need to join the fight in your own way to liberate Enyode. Join us as we break our people's chains!"

What the Consuls spoke of were Sophicrat Care Packages, incognito delivered goods to those who look for it which provide supplies for their own insurgency against the Empire, location of Republican cells within Imperial worlds and instructions for espionage and sabotage and remaining incognito, all in the name of freeing the Enyode from Imperial rule.

Nation Name: Iammelon Bazaar
National Leader: Corporate Trio
Faction Name: Omnipo Observation Force
Purpose/Mission: Observe the ongoing Civil War, in hopes of finding a good time to support a faction that shares Omnipo's interests, with additional hope of establishing an Omnipo presence in the nation after the dust settles.
Will It Choose a Side in the Conflict?: Eventually, but not immediately. While it leans towards the Imperial Loyalists due to having corporate support, it will support any side that will allow Omnipo to further its interests in the nation. It will never publicly support any side, due to Iammelon's strict neutral stance, but will assist it's chosen side with land-leases and other forms of support that Omnipo can do without declaring war.

(Iammelon's Omnipo Observation Force Accepted, Welcome to the War)

An Empire Divided

A week has passed since the start of this war. No major battles have occurred, however, several minor skirmishes happen almost daily in some of the hotter combat areas. The Empire was essentially split in half by Republican and Imperial Loyalist forces and controlled planets. The war was split into two main theaters.

The Frontier Theater: Spanning across the Middle Territories and Frontier Worlds, this Theater is a conventional battlespace of warship maneuvers to blockade major supply routes and planets or combat enemy fleets. Followed by planetary bombardment of targeting planets for a ground invasion. Thus a ground battle and space battle commences for control of a planet or system.

The Urbs Theater: This theater is immensely different than typical battlespaces, primarily focused on ground and air warfare, due to being dense population centers and major zones of manufacturing or trade, planetary bombardment is out of option for both factions so warships tend to avoid involvement there, instead leaving supply ships and troops ships providing troops to combat for city districts along the ground in intense guerilla or asymmetric warfare.

Immuna Crebo Loggici, Imperial Legionary, Ecumenopolis of Apliuvis
Crebo stared down his rifle sight. The computerized targeting system zoomed in and out and made calculations of varying types as it focused in on the target. While he was around two miles away and beyond enemy lines, Crebo was so well zoomed in he could count every button on his target's uniform.

His target was a Centuris, a high-ranking officer who betrayed his country and emperor for some foolish, idealistic cause. Crebo didn't need a name, all he needed was a face and location and he would get the kill. But why was he hesitating? It was a perfect shot as the Centuris paced back and forth watching other Republican troops set up provisional defenses along the main avenue and side streets. He was perfectly in the open and was obviously a traitor, he could see the place which once bore the purple crest badge of a Centuris but not bore a red and gold shield with that traitorous emblem in its center. But Crebo couldn't press the trigger, he wanted to kill him, but he was stopping himself.

Was it because he felt that man had a family at home who was praying for a better life from his work here and now, or maybe he felt common cause with him as his own family towards the Republican cause, or maybe he was just losing his edge as a sharpshooter. He quietly sighed and set his rifle down to the side and drew out a small smoky gray metal thermos canister and took a drink of the steaming warm liquid inside.

He set his thermos down and reached for his rifle but then froze, he could see through hs peripherals a bright red light shining between his eyes. Crebo didn't feel and fear or panic but numbly followed the light to it's source, staring down the barrel and scope of his soon to be killer without any thought or memory in his head.

Elsewhere
Both the Republicans and Imperials knew of the entering involvement of the Omnipo, one of the Corporate Trio members of Iammelon. Both knew the importance and edge over the opponent they would have with Omnipo support. However this was more a desperate hope for the Republicans, Iammelon was a corpocracy, obviously, they would rather have corporations and private sector economics rather than the ideas of the Republic. But still, one does not know if they do not try.

Chapter 2: The Early Offensives

With the Empire having regained its footing after the sudden rebellion, the Imperial High Command decided it was time to make use of its initiative of reorganizing quicker. They made the first major move deploying multiple fleets and their accompanying Imperial legions towards their first strategic targets...

The first Imperial targets were Tusmilia, an Arxa (citadel-world), Gonides, another Arxa, and Jusnone, a major Industria (Industrial-world). Those targets were of great strategic importance towards the Republican cause, as they were frontline worlds, that, if had been fully garrisoned in time and made full use of would have possibly spelled defeat for the Imperial forces. But fortunately for the Imperials. Tusmilia, Gonides, and Jusnone had only skeleton garrisons currently as the main forces were organizing before making their way to the front.

The three-prong strike began, and it's success was obvious, while naval defenses were stationed to orbit the planet, they were mere destroyers and corvettes in competition against Imperial battleships and cruisers. The Republican garrison navies folded, but, in the case of Tusmilia and Gonides, that was merely the first level of orbital defense. Having recovered from the initial surprise attack. The orbital defense system had calibrated and began targeting the Imperial ships, casting destructive volleys towards the Empire to hold them back.

However Jusnone told a different story, with the garrison fleet gone, the Empire was free to begin strategic orbital bombardments without major planetery fire on important Republican locations before deploying it's first wave of shock forces, Evocinnaires were launched from orbital drop pods down to the surface below.

War has truly begun and the blood spilled here will define the future of Enyode.

The Omnipo Forces were quite pleased to have oppurtunity for conversation. It was decided by the leadership however, that they should not meet with both parties at the same location for fear of causing a fight, and accepting the delegation of one before the other might give false signals. Therefore, both would be met with at the same time, in different spots.

Approaching the Errant Blade
Omnipo Star Destroyer
Imperial Forces
Vicara Galia Poselli and a small entourage of Praetorians was dispatched on the Nero Corvette Syracusa (which was outfitted from diplomatic encounters) for neutral space in order to greet the Omnipo and discuss their circumstances within the Civil War.

As the Imperial ship approached the Conquest Star Destroyer, the Enyodean woman observed the similar size of the Iamellon craft to the Enyodean Tiberia cruisers, granted the different designs of the warships.

Galia tapped a button on the glowing blue hardlight dash before her and began to speak clearly, transmitting a message to the Omnipo craft. "This is Vicara Galia Poselli of the Eternal Empire of Enyode, onboard the Syracusa,Salve. We have arrived in order to peacefully discuss the matters of the Omnipo involved in this conflict. We are requesting to dock on the Errant Blade."
