Title: The Mouse That Roared
Post by: guest125 on August 02, 2016, 11:18:57 pm
With the acquirement of a star system meant as a hub for commerce attracted the remaining Artistians, Merchants, and Scientists alike from the scattered people of Eteru. The two barren planets and asteroid rings will prove to be good places to building mining operations, bringing in almost every miner left to the system. On Tomi an Gaia world, a colony was built as the headquarters for trading guilds and corporations alike. An governor was elected by Epokku to look over the system and oversee it's dealings while she is in the Hegemony and until a official government was built. However there was a slight problem, even the most well informed economist is very low skilled due to Eteurans view on capitalism.  But they know they need to adapt and change their views in order to make  stand. The new book published by the Vania Colonies were a good help but they need a more hands on experience. So the governor called a well talented economist from the colonies to reform the educational classes and a deeper understanding of fiances.

one Mister Jean Richards, author of Building your fortune, agrees to go, after being asked by the Vania colonies. he knew he would have his work cut out for him, but he had not given up on anything in his 178 year life yet, and he was not going to start with this.

he arrives at the planet soon enough and steps out if his yacht.

The colony was going very well from his veiw point as he got off. Thanks to chakra natures the Eteruan was able to make a very high designed Eco-City. Otaku culture is also heavy as some survivors from the anime businesses in the colonies came over and bought some plots in the city. On the landing yards the governor was a female Okami, well dressed and happy to meet the famous person behind the book. She greeted Mister Jean as he got off with a formal bow, "Welcome to Tomi, I am it's governor and I am pleased that you manage to make it here. Please let me lead you to the office." She escorted the Vania to a private hover car and would drive to a large Urban Skyfarm, The Urban Skyfarm is covered in leaf-like decks that can provide 24 acres of space for growing fruit trees and plants like tomatoes. The "trunk" of the tree houses an indoor hydroponic farm for greens, and solar panels and wind turbines at the top of the tower provide enough energy to power the whole operation. The design would also capture rainwater and filter it through a constructed wetland before returning it to a nearby stream. Driving to the top of the tower she parked next to a glass dome that seem to have a office inside. She would get out and with a flare of chakra, a door size section of the dome would disappear. "I welcome you to my office." With that said she would head inside which looked like a Japanese garden.

Jean was impressed by the progress they had made.
"I am impressed with the progress you have made. How many are there here?"
He says as he walks in.

"Around two million, most were from Anime & Magna companies throughout the sectors, namely the colonies. Some of the Eteruans from the fleet that went to the Hegemony migrated over here to help things out. Other then that it has been mostly Eteruan merchant and science vessels that have been off world," She pulled a chair out for the Vania and took her seat behind the desk. "Securing a food and energy source was not a large issue to begin with thanks to the help of chakra natures, economic standpoint however is a different story."

"Yes, it will. Even with the high amounts if natural resources on this world, you don't have enough experience manpower to do it. Same with industry. However, you have one major product to work with: your culture. Anything you made back then can now be made and called a relic from a near extinct race."

"Very much true, we are in the works of rebooting it as the destruction of our planet grind them to a halt. Famous anime such as 'Gob is Vania' is starting up again and is proving a good source of income. Not to mention the lack of a major entertainment industry in the galazy gives us a lot of room to expand and sell to more diverse markets."

"Good, those will be your main money makers. We also need bigger markets. Many nations don't have the cultural values that allow for any commerce, let allow this. In this Galaxy, your main market will be the republic, and then mainly Jing. However, there is a gold mine that is just waiting to be opened: the Vania Republic"

"Care to elaborate?"
Title: Re: The Mouse That Roared
Post by: guest27 on August 03, 2016, 07:55:15 pm
"it's simple: the Vanian market is huge, bigger then all other markets you have ever combined. if we can get even just 1% of people to buy just one thing of yours, you will have more money then you have ever had in your lives."

"That is indeed a gold mine, so are there any other entertainment industry within the Republic? Knowing our competitions is a vital thing to know"

"No, it is fairly minor. There are only a few for people to use, and most of them don't don't even talk about. You would have a good, clear market to use. You can even get away without writing anything for awhile, as you already have the episodes aired in the colonies to reuse."

"That is good news as it gives us a lot of breathing room and time to dominate the galaxy with our cultural accomplishments, To make the rest of the galaxy listen to our music, to read the books of our writers and watch our movies. Anyways with the entertainment market mostly empty how is the Tourism industry?"

"Not great. The vast majority of the attractions were natural places, but they were mostly destroyed in the wars leaving very few left. The vanian population, while industrious, are not good at art."
Title: Re: The Mouse That Roared
Post by: guest125 on August 04, 2016, 03:03:13 pm
"Well that is good to hear as we are very talented as artistic designs. Is there any percuiler style of art that the Vania might like?"

"it is hard to say. they are very practical people, and it may be hard to find art that will take to. however, in their wars long ago, they got a massive new population of humans. while normally much poorer, they still would provide a large market if the Vans do not prove profitable"

"Hmm that is true, anything else you recommend?"

"Nothing much. What do you think your next move will be?"
Title: Re: The Mouse That Roared
Post by: guest125 on August 05, 2016, 04:04:06 pm
"Exert cultural dominance would be our first step, I did hear of the Vanias being fond of mock plays. Perhaps we can make our own performers to out play the others."

"good idea. but first, we will need capital, something to use to get started in the new galaxy"

(we're talking about gathering the money needed to start up business in the Vanian Galaxy)

"Yes gaining money would indeed be difficult in that galaxy, speaking of I heard there were other powers there. Care to elaborate?"

"well, there are normally 3 ways to fund your start. first is to use your own funds, but, forgive me for saying, you do not have anyone of real wealth in your nation. second would be to borrow the money, but this means that you will need to pay it back, much more then you got. third is to sell shares of it, but this means that you will need to give them a share of the profits, even though they did nothing to help. these, as i see them, are your real choices."

"Hmm what about an political marriage between two people high on the social ladder? It would long way to spreading our name across the Republic, and make doing business there much easier, as we have basically been legitimized in the eyes of the people."

"I know, merely a possibility, anyways I believe using our own funds is the better of the two in the long run. We might have a weak start but we have high chance of catching on"

"Indeed, anyways how would we start setting up in your galaxy?"
Title: Re: The Mouse That Roared
Post by: guest27 on August 08, 2016, 05:52:33 pm
"it is simple: go to the colonies and get the location or otherwise some way to get there. then, you will need to find willing sellers of land so you can set up there, and then you start producing. the Republic wants it to be as easy as possible for new businesses to get set up, believing it helps make them stronger."

Title: Re: The Mouse That Roared

"it really depends on what you plan on doing, but it can mostly be anywhere and you could still provide it to the public at large well enough."

"Well for a entertainment industrial base we would want to be the more heavily populated and trade heavy sectors to spread the word quicker."
Title: Re: The Mouse That Roared

"Then you want the core worlds, and the capital. Those are the larger population centers and the biggest bases for trade."

A few week later a fleet of colony ships debarked the spaceport orbiting Tomi and I en-route to the Vania Home Galaxy. Their warp drives and other ship modules have vastly increase thanks to them settling down and innovating again.

Heading into the core worlds of the Vania Galaxy they will settle in a open sector named Hōseki that contains many habitual worlds and mineral dense planetoids.

(do you mean the core worlds of the Vania Republic or the galaxy itself?)

(The core worlds region, like in Star War's map the inner circle is the core worlds.)

they manage to find one such system, however, they find that it is not within Vanian space.
